外傷編　External Wounds

　私は今晩（今日）の救急担当（当番・当直）医です。 I'm the first - aid physician on duty tonight (today).

　必要であれば相応の他の専門医を呼びますが、一応診察させていただけませんか。 If special care is needed I will call in the specialist, but let me examine you first please.

　交通事故 Traffic accident

自動車 automobile　　バイク motercycle　　自転車 bicycle 　運転中 while driving　　同乗して while riding with driver 　歩行中 while walking 事故の状態 condition of accident 　追突された rear - end collision　　正面衝突 head - on collision 　横からの衝突 sideway collision　　跳ねられた got run into by another 　触れた got hit　　転んだ fell over 事故の場所 place of accident 　一般道路 ordinary road　　高速自動車道 expressway (highway) 　市街地 urban road　　交差点 intersection

　他人によって passive (involuntary) wounding

切られた cut　　殴られた beaten　　蹴られた kicked　　撃たれた shot

　自分で self wounding

転落した fell off 　約（　）メートルの高さから from a height of approximately (　) meters ぶつかった bumped into (object or person)　　打った receive a blow 切った cut　　転んだ fell down ／ tripped over 器物が倒れてきた was under a falling object

　倒れているこの患者を見つけた。 I discovered this person lying on the ground.

　何で火傷をしたんですか？ How did you burn yourself ?

熱湯 hot water　　煮汁 boiling soup 熱い器具（アイロン・鍋） hot receptacle or object (iron, pot) 感電 electric shock　　薬品化合物 chemical compound

　治療・処置 Remedy, treatment

　湿布をしておきます。 We'll apply a poultice on the wound, O. K ?

　消毒して傷の治療をしますが、痛いですよ。 We're going to sterilize the wound and treat it, but it's going to hurt, O. K ?

　縫う必要があります。 We'll need to stitch the wound.

　注射で麻酔をしますよ。 We're going to inject some anesthetic, O.K ?

　変形を矯正しなければいけませんね。 You'll need to correct this deformation, won't you ?

　ギプス包帯が必要です。 You'll need a cast.

　痛いですよ。我慢できますか？ It'll hurt a bit. Can you bear it ?

　全身麻酔が必要です。 You'll need general anesthesia.

　入院の上、経過をみたいと思います。 You need to be hospitalized so we can see how you come along.

　すぐ手術をしなければいけません。もちろん、入院が必要です。 We need to operate you right away. Of course you need to be hospitalized.

　患者の応答 Response of the patient

お任せします。 I leave everything to you. (I'm in your hands, Dr.) 　断ります。 I refuse. 　了解しました。 I understand. 　それはできません。 I (You) can't do that ! 　中止して！ Stop that.
